Willamette Valley

Willamette Valley Confectionery celebrates the goodness and bounty of its fertile namesake valley by using berries, fruits, nuts and dairy products from local farms. Our small-batch, handcrafted candies are free of all artificial colorings and preservatives.  We use old-fashioned copper kettles and heirloom recipes to deliver unsurpassed flavors.

Brush Prairie Bogs Sixes, Oregon

I grew up with cranberry sauce made from fresh berries.  The aroma of berries and sugar coming from the kitchen was almost as good as the sauce.  Like many childhood memories fragrances create strong associations; and even now a batch on the candy kitchen stove brings back happy memories!

We began making our fabulous version of Oregon Cranberry Pâte de Fruit a few years ago as a response to many requests. Our first year was great, but we had a patchwork of suppliers… not our style. I heard about Brush Prairie Bogs from a friend, small family farm + organic = jackpot!

Brush Prairie Bogs has been organic since the mid-nineties and excel at raising the Stevens cranberry. They’re located in southern Oregon where the growing season is long  (and one-half mile from the ocean, with it’s moderating influence). Jerri Walter, the matriarch of Brush Prairie, met with me on I-5 to deliver our big order of beautiful berries!

These gorgeous deeply-colored berries make our Pâte de Fruit a rich ruby red.  And the flavor is incredible, try them out, you won’t be disappointed!
