Willamette Valley

Willamette Valley Confectionery celebrates the goodness and bounty of its fertile namesake valley by using berries, fruits, nuts and dairy products from local farms. Our small-batch, handcrafted candies are free of all artificial colorings and preservatives.  We use old-fashioned copper kettles and heirloom recipes to deliver unsurpassed flavors.

Sturm's Berry Farm Corbett, Oregon

Marion Blackberries aka Marionberries are a prized commodity in Oregon. The berry, released in 1956, is a cross between two other varieties that created the “Cabernet of Blackberries.”

I made our signature Marionberry Pâte de Fruit from another farm’s berries for the first year. When I stumbled upon the Sturm’s (Rosie and Don) and their superior berries I was an immediate convert. Maybe it’s the high hill on which they are grown, but the flavor of the Sturm’s Marionberries is deeper and richer.

Of course, they have had a few years to figure it out. Three generations have grown these jewels on their property near Crown Point in the Columbia Gorge. They grow many kinds of berries and that variety (and the excellent quality) has inspired us to expand our line to include Raspberry, Boysenberry and Strawberry Rhubarb (made with exquisite Hood variety strawberries).
